Hershman will be nominating one Hoosier to attend the seminar where participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding and knowledge of politics and political involvement through interaction with state and national political leaders and members of the media.
“Hoosiers from all walks of life, especially newcomers to politics and government, should send information to my office if they would like to attend or know someone who could benefit by attending,” Hershman said.
Hosted by the law offices of Barnes and Thornburg in Indianapolis, this event will be hosted April 17 and 18. Seminar sessions will be tailored to the questions and concerns of participants and feature nationally prominent political advisors, public officials and professors from various universities and media organizations.
Hershman said nominations, including contact information and a brief description of why individuals should be chosen to attend, should be sent to his office at the Statehouse before March 15:

Throughout the past 28 years, more than 950 people have graduated from the Institute, Hershman said.
