(INDIANAPOLIS) March 29, 2010 – The American Family Association of Indiana PAC announced today it has endorsed Johnny Nugent (R-Lawrenceburg) for reelection in Indiana Senate District 43.
Since 2009, Hoosiers have witnessed dramatic changes in our country: the collapse of the economy, bailouts of banks and private industry, massive levels of new government spending and now the government takeover of health care. When Hoosiers go to the polls this year, AFA of Indiana predicts tens of thousands of Indiana voters will be looking for candidates who share their common-sense values. Johnny Nugent is a true patriot – one all of us can count on to consistently represent the conservative values of Hoosiers in his district.
“State Senator Johnny Nugent has always stood for those conservative values that sustain Hoosier families. He has not merely been a legislator. Johnny Nugent has been a leader in the defense of our values in Indianapolis. I have never had to worry about how Senator Nugent will vote to defend family, faith, life, the 2nd Amendment or the freedoms Hoosier families hold dear,” said AFA of Indiana PAC President Micah Clark.
Nugent is the owner of a successful small business in operation for 54 years. A U.S. Army Veteran, he is a life member of the National Rifle Association and serves on the NRA Board of Directors. He and his wife Nancy live in Lawrenceburg.
“I strongly encourage Republican voters in Dearborn, Franklin, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley and Union Counties to support Johnny Nugent in the May 4 Primary Election,” Clark said.
The AFA of Indiana Political Action Committee was formed in March 2006 for the purpose of educating voters about the candidates who embrace traditional values and issues that impact families, churches and communities.
